My hus­band and I are on hol­i­day from Aberdeen, Scot­land, and are stay­ing with my hus­band’s sis­ter and her hus­band, San­dra and Brian Hunter, here in Mata­mata.

San­dra was in­vited to judge the Mata­mata In­ter­me­di­ate School prose com­pe­ti­tion re­cently and we were de­lighted when she asked us to go along to the school with her.

When we ar­rived at the school we were met by two very well-man­nered students who in­tro­duced them­selves to us and led us to the li­brary where the com­pe­ti­tion was to be held.

We had a very en­ter­tain­ing af­ter­noon and were very im­pressed with the stan­dard of all students at the school. Credit has to go to the prin­ci­pal and staff for their hard work and
