Radio station ZM’s Drive Show was at Matamata Racecourse on Thursday to see their filly Hoofsain Bolt’s first start.

Hosts Jay Reeve, Jacqui Jensen and Paul Flynn (Flynny) own 50 per cent of the three- year- old, along with Pencarrow Stud.

Jay Reeve said he was like ‘‘a proud father’’ seeing Hoofsain starting in her first race.

‘‘Rambo [trainer Steven Ramsey] and the team at Pencarrow Stud have done an amazing job with her and having a local jockey hero [Vinnie Colgan] ride her at the best track I have ever been to made it a pretty special day for me.

‘‘Matamata really turned it on and set the bar high.’’

ZM listeners were given the opportunity to join the trio’s racing syndicate, making it the biggest syndicate in history.
