Dragon, a son of Waikato Stud stallion Pins, added the Hong Kong International Mile to his tally of major wins.
The new purchase will be trained in Hong Kong by Ricky Yiu and will race in the mauve with white crossed sashes and red cap Hennessy stable colours that have been displayed with such distinction in the past year by Ocean Park.
‘‘Andrew reckons they’re lucky colours so we’re happy to share them and let some of the luck rub off onto his Hong Kong horses,’’ said Gary.
Back on the home front, dare I remind readers that Christmas is fast approaching, but I will for the sake of highlighting the Matamata Racing Club’s December 19 twilight meeting.
Less than a week out from Christmas, the eightrace programme beginning at 3pm through to 7pm offers the ideal opportunity to socialise with workmates and friends.
