Mail delivery

Matamata Chronicle - - News -

New Zealand Post is proposing to cut down mail delivery to as little as three days a week to cope with falling volumes. Do you think this is a good idea? What impact would this have on you, if any? How often do you use the post?

May suck if you get a bill late. Sometimes I receive mail with deadlines for things and extra days in post could make that worse.

Perhaps NZ Post should spend more time

Ridiculous but at least the courier companies will earn from it. If NZ post doesn’t want it, someone will.

There is no future in snail mail, so I can’t blame NZ Post for that, I think people can adjust to three days a week mail delivery. But there is a good future in the parcel business. Why has NZ Post lost such a big share to the many couriers?

Perhaps instead of acting all infuriated about NZ Post making an entirely rational decision, you lot could, you know, actually use the postal service and thus make it so they don’t have to cut back?
