Tower Run ready to lace its shoes up

Matamata Chronicle - - News -

With less than a month to go until the Matamata Chronicle J Swap Contractors’ Tower Run, participants are being reminded about a few changes this year.

Registrations are now open and entry packs will be given out instead of picked up on the day of the Tower Run.

Entry packs for the run contain a timing chip, a race number, rules and regulations.

Last year Tim Hampton designed a timing chip to record times electronically.

The timing chip needs to be placed on the right shoe.

Entry packs can be collected from the Matamata Chronicle, Evolve Fitness, Sportsworld Matamata, Curves Matamata and Stirling Sports Matamata.

For those of you wanting to get a bit of practise before the Tower Run takes place on Friday, March 8, weekly training sessions also started on Thursday, January 31.

The sessions leave from Matamata Primary School at 6pm, and are being taken by Matamata Harriers Club and Tower Run organising committee member Kevin Guest and Steve Wenzlick.
