Your treasures wanted

Matamata Chronicle - - News - By DAVID HULME Anyone wishing to donate goods can contact Mr Parker on 888 7188 – after hours – or Eric Muckle on (0274) 776 033.

Do you have any old ‘‘treasures’’ you want to donate to charity as part of the Rotary Club of Matamata’s monster garage sale next month?

The club is holding the garage sale on Saturday, March 9 in front of the bus sheds at Matamata College to raise funds for charitable projects which it is involved with.

Rotary Club of Matamata director David Parker said the club would gladly accept donations of goods from the public to sell at the garage sale.

‘‘If anyone has anything they wish to donate to us, knowing that the proceeds of this event will go towards charitable endeavours that the club undertakes, we would be more than happy to Parker said.

‘‘We have run three garage sales in the past five years and they prove to be very popular with the community.

‘‘ We are more than happy to arrange collection of any items people may wish to donate before the event,’’ he said.

Because of environmental concerns around the disposal of non-sold items, Mr Parker said the club could not accept donations of old televisions or computer screens, but any other ‘‘treasures’’ would be gratefully collected.

accept
