Field fashions wow racegoers

Matamata Chronicle - - News -

The Tuscany Road Fashion in the Field has become a major drawcard at the annual J Swap Contractors Matamata Breeders’ Stakes – and this year was no exception.

Race day attire is all about sophistication, glamour and elegance and this was reflected in the style shown by each contestant.

This year’s overall winner Christine VerrionClarke will go on to represent Matamata Racing Club at the Prix De Fashion held at Ellerslie on March 2.

High fashion: (above) Ceri McVinnie, who recently moved to Matamata, won the Ooby Ryn Raceday High Fashion and The Red Velvet Room Hats and Heels categories. Ceri was wearing a 30-yearold dress that once belonged to her mother.
