Seniors get Out There and Active
Sport Waikato supports and encourages our district’s seniors – or those people who are now lucky enough to finally not have to go to work every day – to have fun and be active.
There is no doubting that it’s ‘‘ Move it or Lose it’’ – research shows that as we age, if we are active, we stay mobile with a better quality of life for many more years than our less active counterparts.
Interestingly this also includes memory retention.
There are walking and exercise groups in all Matamata-Piako towns.
