Se­niors get Out There and Ac­tive

Sport Waikato sup­ports and en­cour­ages our district’s se­niors – or those peo­ple who are now lucky enough to fi­nally not have to go to work ev­ery day – to have fun and be ac­tive.

There is no doubt­ing that it’s ‘‘ Move it or Lose it’’ – re­search shows that as we age, if we are ac­tive, we stay mo­bile with a bet­ter qual­ity of life for many more years than our less ac­tive coun­ter­parts.

In­ter­est­ingly this also in­cludes me­mory re­ten­tion.

There are walking and ex­er­cise groups in all Mata­mata-Pi­ako towns.
