Police are using CCTV footage to identify the offenders in two separate burglaries in Matamata last week.

Two people broke into the Matamata RSA through a bathroom window last Monday night and were caught on camera crawling through the bar area. They stole a significant amount of spirits, including bottles of Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Blackheart rum, Coruba, Black Douglas whisky, Bacardi, Drambuie and vodka.

They also took a couple of bottles of bitters.

Police said the first offender was wearing a dark hoodie, a grey-peaked cap, dark jeans, distinctive black and white shoes, a red bag, white gloves and blackand-white-striped boxers.

The second was wearing light blue jeans and black shoes.

CCTV cameras also caught a person breaking into a building at Matamata College about 9pm on Thursday.

The offender stole an old black ACFR Veriton M480G computer and a keyboard, leaving behind a screen that was dropped and smashed.

He then smashed the glass panels of an office door and entered but took nothing.

He also smashed his way into the music block and again took nothing.
