Matamata Chronicle - - News -

Matamata District has been my home for 39 years and, with my husband and two adult children, I have enjoyed a wonderful association in community, sporting and business activities. I have held diverse governance and leadership roles and currently am: Matamata Piako District Councillor since 2004 (9 years); Rotary Club of Matamata (Past President and 2013 Leader of Group Study Exchange to Canada and United States of America); Pohlen Hospital Trust (Deputy Chair); Waikato Heart Trust; Matamata Golf Club; Company Director of two private companies.

I strongly

believe

it

is important

that council provides the framework for economic, environmental, social, sporting and cultural developments.

To achieve these goals I bring: extensive business, financial management and strong governance skills; experience as a qualified commissioner and current chairperson of the district council’s Resource Management hearings; proven ability to work with all groups in our communities; strong sense of civic duty; and accomplished written and interpersonal skills.

I seek your support so I can continue contributing to make this district a wonderful place to live, work and play.
