Woman trapped in Kaimai crash
Thursday, September 19:
Police arrived at a Mowbray Rd address in the early hours of the morning to arrest a man who was wanted for failing to appear in court. He was taken through to Hamilton.
Friday, September 20:
A 47-year-old woman was trapped for a short time after the truck she was driving crashed through a barrier and rolled on the Kaimai Range. She was taken to Tauranga Hospital with moderate injuries.
Saturday, September 21:
Police received complaints about a car tearing up the Gladstone Rd area about 7pm. The car was driving up on to the kerb and footpath. The car was located later that evening and the driver was processed for driving with excess breath alcohol.
A Tawari St resident disturbed two men rummaging through a work van parked in his driveway about 7.45pm. The offenders ran off without taking anything and were last seen running down Kauri Cres. They are described as wearing dark clothing. If anyone saw anything call police on 888 7117. Information can also be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Sunday, September 22:
A car travelling down the Kaimai Range braked and locked up before crossing the centre line and crashing into a car coming uphill. No serious injuries.
