Woman trapped in Kaimai crash

Thurs­day, Septem­ber 19:

Po­lice ar­rived at a Mow­bray Rd ad­dress in the early hours of the morn­ing to ar­rest a man who was wanted for fail­ing to ap­pear in court. He was taken through to Hamil­ton.

Fri­day, Septem­ber 20:

A 47-year-old woman was trapped for a short time af­ter the truck she was driv­ing crashed through a bar­rier and rolled on the Kaimai Range. She was taken to Tau­ranga Hos­pi­tal with mod­er­ate in­juries.

Satur­day, Septem­ber 21:

Po­lice re­ceived com­plaints about a car tear­ing up the Glad­stone Rd area about 7pm. The car was driv­ing up on to the kerb and foot­path. The car was lo­cated later that evening and the driver was pro­cessed for driv­ing with ex­cess breath al­co­hol.

A Tawari St res­i­dent dis­turbed two men rum­mag­ing through a work van parked in his drive­way about 7.45pm. The of­fend­ers ran off with­out tak­ing any­thing and were last seen run­ning down Kauri Cres. They are de­scribed as wear­ing dark cloth­ing. If any­one saw any­thing call po­lice on 888 7117. Sun­day, Septem­ber 22:

A car trav­el­ling down the Kaimai Range braked and locked up be­fore cross­ing the cen­tre line and crash­ing into a car com­ing up­hill. No se­ri­ous in­juries.
