Historical book fair bargains
Remember the 16th Historical Society Book Fair starts tomorrow at 9am at the former Tables on Broadway, next to the Broadway Motel.
Hundreds of books, magazines, games, CDs and DVDs are loaded on to trestles to be bought at bargain prices.
Queues will be forming well before 9am on Thursday, with customers wanting to have first choice of the displayed books.
Customers who come later do not need to worry, since there will be plenty of books left in all categories for them to look at and buy.
Money raised from the Book Fair will go towards fitting out the newly erected cowshed and attached barn with text panels and large photos featuring dairy farming, herd testing, calves pigs, creameries and factories in the Matamata district.
Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be available on site.
A real effort: Matamata College students raised more than $2500 for Starship Children’s Hospital.
