His­tor­i­cal book fair bar­gains

Re­mem­ber the 16th His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety Book Fair starts tomorrow at 9am at the for­mer Ta­bles on Broad­way, next to the Broad­way Mo­tel.

Hun­dreds of books, mag­a­zines, games, CDs and DVDs are loaded on to tres­tles to be bought at bar­gain prices.

Queues will be form­ing well be­fore 9am on Thurs­day, with cus­tomers want­ing to have first choice of the dis­played books.

Cus­tomers who come later do not need to worry, since there will be plenty of books left in all cat­e­gories for them to look at and buy.

Money raised from the Book Fair will go to­wards fit­ting out the newly erected cow­shed and at­tached barn with text pan­els and large pho­tos fea­tur­ing dairy farm­ing, herd test­ing, calves pigs, cream­eries and fac­to­ries in the Mata­mata dis­trict.

Tea, cof­fee and light re­fresh­ments will be avail­able on site.

A real ef­fort: Mata­mata Col­lege stu­dents raised more than $2500 for Star­ship Chil­dren’s Hos­pi­tal.
