Mata­mata man re­al­ity TV star

Mata­mata man and to­p­less waiter Tai Ford is among the cast in the next sea­son of the re­al­ity tele­vi­sion se­ries The GC.

Tai is part of Gold Coast- based com­pany Kiwi Rize, a com­pany which pro­vides a pro­fes­sional team of wait­ers for ev­ery­thing from cor­po­rate events to ladies nights.

Along­side New Zealand TV per­son­al­ity Tame Noema, Tai and Kiwi Rize re­cently fin­ished film­ing the sec­ond sea­son of The GC show, which fol­lows a group of Maori liv­ing on Aus­tralia’s Gold Coast.

When he’s not star­ring in re­al­ity tele­vi­sion shows, Tai is a per­sonal trainer in the Gold Coast.

‘‘I love help­ing peo­ple im­prove their qual­ity of life and as­sist­ing in reach­ing their goals and achieve­ments. It’s one of the most re­ward­ing jobs," said Tai.

Kiwi Rize Mar­ket­ing and Op­er­a­tions Man­ager, Riria Mi­haere said Tai has an ‘‘elec­tric per­son­al­ity, with a smile to match.’’

Tai is also ap­pear­ing in the ‘ Mr Lo­va­li­cious’ Com­pe­ti­tion, a club pro­mo­tion.

The Kiwi Rize team will be of­fer­ing their ser­vices in New Zealand from Novem­ber.

Riria be­lieves it is their per­son­al­i­ties that set them apart.

‘‘We’re cruisy peo­ple who go with the flow and I think peo­ple love that about us. We’re tak­ing this to the en­ter­tain­ment scene by of­fer­ing a classy, re­lat­able and pro­fes­sional male for the event of your choice. To­p­less is just a bonus,’’ she said.

Tai is de­scribed as a nat­u­ral peo­ple per­son that loves his job.

’’Who wouldn’t want to look good and party with gor­geous ladies?’’ he said.

Tai, as well as Tame Noema and Kiwi Rize di­rec­tor Paora Taukamo, will be head­ing to New Zealand on Oc­to­ber 23 to be in­volved in the launch of the new sea­son of The GC.
