Bookworms get into the bargains

Matamata Chronicle - - News -

Bookworm bonanza: Shopping bags filled with books weren’t an unusual sight at this year’s Matamata Historical Book Fair.

Thousands of donated books were put up for sale at low prices, and the crowds flocked to stock up their book shelves for another year.

Proceeds raised this year will be going towards the establishment of a dairy display in the newly built cowshed at the Firth Tower Museum.

The fair held at the former Tables on Broadway started on October 3 and finished on October 5.

Wintec journalism student Ali Brady went along to take some shots of the opening morning.
