Final rugby match offers on

Matamata Chronicle - - Sport -

Waikato Rugby Union has made its final game of 2013 this Saturday against Taranaki free for children who come along with a paying adult.

The free child ticket offer is for the WEL Networks stand, and tickets must be collected from the Gate 1 ticket office at Waikato Stadium in order to gain entry to the venue.

There is a minimum requirement of one adult per four children.

Waikato Rugby Union chief executive Graham Bowen said the move was made to try to fill the stands to show support for the Wai- kato team in their match of the season.

‘‘We realise that it is the end of the school holidays, so we wanted to do something that will allow families to easily come to the final match of the season.

‘‘This is your chance to come and support your representative rugby team.

‘‘A family of four can come to this game for only $20 – if they bring their own homemade food into the venue then that makes for a cheap and fun night out.

‘‘We hope that by making this game free to children Waikato families will get along and experience prov-

final incial rugby and be encouraged to return to games next year.’’

The Ryan Wheeler Memorial Trophy, played for annually between the two provinces, will be up for grabs on Saturday night with Waikato looking to defend the prestigious trophy they reclaimed this time last year.

There are also a number of adult ticket specials. See mooloo.co.nz for details.

These ticket deals are available from the Gate 1 ticket office at Waikato Stadium only. This will be open from 9am to 5pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
