Festival of food gets heated up with kapa haka
Firth Primary School is hosting their annual International Food Festival this Saturday, October 19.
The event is the biggest fundraiser for the school and this year there will be 400 tickets available instead of the previous year’s 200.
Doors open at the Matamata Memorial Centre at 7pm and the night will open with the school’s kapa haka group and choir performing, followed by food tasting, music and more.
There will be a licensed bar for those over 18, sport prizes and raffles.
Tickets are being sold for $25 each or $40 for two and can be purchased from the school office, Noel Leeming and Super Liquor.
While fancy dress is optional, it’s encouraged and greatly appreciated.
