Fes­ti­val of food gets heated up with kapa haka

Firth Pri­mary School is host­ing their an­nual In­ter­na­tional Food Fes­ti­val this Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 19.

The event is the big­gest fundraiser for the school and this year there will be 400 tick­ets avail­able in­stead of the pre­vi­ous year’s 200.

Doors open at the Mata­mata Me­mo­rial Cen­tre at 7pm and the night will open with the school’s kapa haka group and choir per­form­ing, fol­lowed by food tast­ing, mu­sic and more.

There will be a li­censed bar for those over 18, sport prizes and raf­fles.

Tick­ets are be­ing sold for $25 each or $40 for two and can be pur­chased from the school of­fice, Noel Leem­ing and Su­per Liquor.

While fancy dress is op­tional, it’s en­cour­aged and greatly ap­pre­ci­ated.
