Coun­cil plans to be aired at work­shops

Mata­mata Pi­ako District coun­cil­lors dis­cussed the next steps for the Mata­mata Me­mo­rial Cen­tre, li­brary and of­fice space at a coun­cil meet­ing last Wed­nes­day.

Coun­cil­lors felt more in­for­ma­tion was needed about the op­tions and the needs of the com­mu­nity be­fore mak­ing a de­ci­sion on the di­rec­tion of the project.

A se­ries of work­shops will be held dur­ing Au­gust, at which com­mu­nity groups will have the op­por­tu­nity to help the coun­cil ex­plore pos­si­ble op­tions.

Groups will be in­vited to at­tend these work­shops once de­tails have been con­firmed.
