Pohlen an asset

Matamata Chronicle - - Opinion/news -

I recently broke my arm and wish to thank our local hospital, Pohlen, for the speedy way in which I was seen both by the doctor and the X-ray department.

Within an hour of my accident, I had been wonderfully taken care of without the need to travel to Hamilton.

To the kind ladies who let me jump the queue to let me treated by the doctor and have the X-ray, thank you for your compassion.

I have no doubt that I would have spent hours waiting at A&E to be seen, let alone be treated.

I feel Matamata has a wonderful asset right here on our doorstep.

I am grateful that I am part of the Matamata community and that we all have access to such an amazing facility.

So, thank you so much to the Pohlen Foundation trustees and the large number of volunteers who donate so much to the hospital.
