Students dig into planting day
Kuranui School students recently did their bit for the environment.
The Room 5 pupils paid a visit to Lake Okoroire, which is currently being restored, late last month and planted 150 plants. The class finished their day with hot chips and hot chocolates.
Principal Paula Hastings said the children enjoyed putting the Kuranui value of helping the environment into practise outside of school.
The school is also working on planting around the Waiomou Stream which runs behind the school and will be having another planting session there next term.
