Matamata Chronicle - - News -

Matamata was awash with yellow on Friday as the town emptied their pockets to raise funds for the Cancer Society on Daffodil Day.

Teresa Hattan and Abby Brown were out and about snapping photos.

This year, a total of $12,176.20 was raised by the community.

Area co-ordinator Rexine Hawes said this is a new Matamata Daffodil Day fundraising record.

‘‘It’s really not about how big the final figure is, but about how big Matamata’s heart is,’’ she said.
