Whisper Art and Object Gallery’s first show was such a success another has already been organised.

The gallery, based out of Rob Eagle’s home on Burwood Rd, held its first show in September.

A second has been organised for this month featuring Matamata’s own renowned artist Jim Cotter.

The gallery has attracted a lot of attention in the art scene, with six national artists wanting to exhibit their work at the Matamata gallery, Eagle said.

This latest exhibition opens on November 28 from 6pm and will also be open on November 29 and 30 from 10am-4pm.

Works from Mosgiel, Auckland, Tauranga, Dunedin, Timaru, Rotorua, Whanganui, Waiuku, Niue and Wellington will feature.

‘‘ Galleries like this give people a cross section of art in New Zealand now,’’ Eagle said.

Through the creation of the Whisper Charity, an art collection will be created for Pohlen Hospital.

The launch of this charity will be a highlight of the exhibition opening next week.
