Army band turns 50

The New Zealand Army band will be per­form­ing its Golden Ju­bilee Con­cert in Mata­mata next Sun­day, Novem­ber 23. The band are ask­ing the pub­lic to join them in con­cert as they cel­e­brate 50 years of first-class mu­si­cal en­ter­tain­ment. The con­cert at Mata­mata Memo­rial Cen­tre will also ben­e­fit the Mata­mata Brass Band, with half the pro­ceeds go­ing to the group. Ad­vance tick­ets are avail­able from The Sto­ry­teller in Arawa St or on the door from 2pm on the day. Tick­ets: $20 adults, $10 chil­dren, fam­ily (two adults/up to four chil­dren) $50.
