Mata­mata farmer elected to coun­cil

A Mata­mata farmer has gained a seat on the Share­hold­ers’ Coun­cil, the fi­nal re­sults of the 2014 elec­tions for the Fon­terra Board of Direc­tors, Direc­tors’ Re­mu­ner­a­tion Com­mit­tee and Share­hold­ers’ Coun­cil show.

Mata­mata farmer Grant Wills will rep­re­sent ward 8 on the coun­cil.

Wills and 17 re­sen­ta­tives other ward rep­were elected un­op­posed.

In the board of direc­tors elec­tions, in­cum­bent direc­tors John Mon­aghan and David MacLeod re­turned. They will be joined by new di­rec­tor Leonie Guiney who farms near Fair­lie.

Share­hold­ers Mur­ray Hold­away and Philip Wilson were elected un­op­posed as mem­bers of the Direc­tors’ Re­mu­ner­a­tion Com­mit­tee.
