Parade on soon

Santa is busy preparing for the Matamata Public Relations Association’s Christmas Parade.

The parade, which takes place rain or shine, on Saturday, December 6, is always a great day out for the entire family.

By now, many community groups, businesses and schools are preparing floats for the annual parade.

There is no need to register, just turn up on the day. The parade begins at 11am. There will be a winner in each of the four categories, Best Float, Most Humorous, Best School and Best Commercial. Each winner receives a trophy and a $50 gift voucher.
