Adventure alumni get together tomorrow
Looking to reconnect with Outward Bound, revisit the goals you made when you went to Anakiwa and enjoy an evening out with likeminded people?
Waikato Outward Bound alumni are getting together to do just that tomorrow in Hamilton.
Outward Bound is the ultimate outdoor experience for people of all ages and walks of life, members’ council chairwoman Ginny Semmens said.
‘‘Based in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds, the mountains, bush and waterways provide the perfect setting for you to reach your full potential through challenge in the outdoors.’’
Tomorrow’s regional event, organised by Semmens and fellow councillors Tracey Hancock and Raewyn Kirkman, provides an opportunity for people who have done Outward Bound to get together.
It’s also a chance for people to get information about the wide variety of courses on offer.
‘‘We’re really looking forward to reconnecting with our Waikato Outward Bound family, and give them the opportunity to hear from some pretty inspirational Outward Bound alumni,’’ Semmens said.
‘‘It’s all about having an evening of fun and reminiscing, and we’re keen for people to bring along friends and family who might be interested in an Outward Bound course in the future.’’
