Thanks for the great care

Matamata Chronicle - - News -

What a great helpful community Matamata has.

After a bike accident on February 10 and while phoning for an ambulance from the side of the road, a neighbour opposite where I was lying on the ground came running over to see if he could help me.

We waited for the ambulance, it was tied up on another emergency so he got me into the back of his car and drove me to Pohlen Hospital.

I was seen by Ronda, who took control and after being stabilised, rang for the ambulance to transport me with so much care by Joanne and her St John assistant to Waikato Hospital and wait for an operation to insert a plate into my fractured leg.

After a 10- day stay in Waikato Hospital, I was picked up by the two wonderful ladies on last Thursday afternoon’s Matamata Health Shuttle.

They held up the shuttle for an extra hour until I was discharged to make sure I was on my way home that afternoon.

To you the driver and her assistant who went beyond the call of duty, thank you!

What a wonderful service you provide to a wonderful caring Matamata community.
