Mata­mata po­lice at­tended a crash at the in­ter­sec­tion of Firth Rd and Farm­ers Rd af­ter a tourist from Den­mark failed to give way.

A 25- year- old man from Wa­haroa was ar­rested for breaching his bail con­di­tions af­ter go­ing shop­ping in Hamil­ton af­ter ap­pear­ing in Hamil­ton Dis­trict Court the pre­vi­ous day.

He spent the night in Hamil­ton jail to ap­pear again in the Hamil­ton Dis­trict Court.

Po­lice at­tended an­other car crash, this one at the in­ter­sec­tion of Te Poi Rd and State High­way 29 af­ter a tourist failed to stop and drove into the path of an on­com­ing car.

Rocks were thrown at a phone box on Farm­ers Rd.
