Quiz fundraiser a big suc­cess

The an­nual quiz on May 21, or­gan­ised by the lo­cal West­pac branch to raise funds for the West­pac res­cue he­li­copter, raised $8945.50.

Tra­di­tional quiz mas­ter Kerry McKin­ley or­gan­ised most of the ques­tions, with Mata­mata Club’s Christine Im­lach or­gan­is­ing the rest of ques­tions af­ter McKin­ley passed away.

New real es­tate agent Michael Smith stepped into the quiz mas­ter role.

Team Late De­ci­sion bet 24 other teams to win the quiz and were pre­sented a plaque in hon­our of McKin­ley by McKin­ley’s wife Lyn­ley.

Money was also raised through an auc­tion.
