POLICE Drunk scares occupants
Someone has tried to steal a Mazda vehicle from a Burwood Rd address. It was parked on the front yard. The driver’s door was forced open and the car had been searched and the ignition barrel had been tampered with. Police believe an attempt to take it had been made.
A 29- year- old man was arrested for threatening behaviour and possession of methamphetamine. He appeared in Morrinsville District Court.
A house under construction on Tower Rd was burgled and 31 bags of earth wool insulation, in white and green wrapping, was taken. Five bags were located on Wardville Rd. A stove and a rangehood were taken.Scaffolding and a drop saw were taken.
Police are seeking two people who were seen outside the property the day before. They were driving a dark blue 4WD, possibly a Pajero, Big Horn or Discovery. It was a square, old model and had a tandem trailer attached. Police believe the offenders are part of the building industry.
People who were camping in horse trucks on a farm on Henry Watson Rd found a fuel tank emptied and a horse truck broken into and a wallet and drinks taken.
Police are seeking a local intoxicated male who at 3am banged on a ranch slider door on Wrigley Pl and startled the occupants. The offender is described as Caucasian and about 30 years old. He looked inside and left when asked to. Police believe he had thought it was another house.
