Sale for family could be win-win

Matamata Chronicle - - News -

A fundraiser will help a family in need and could also benefit those who donate goods to be sold.

‘‘It is a good opportunity to do an early spring clean,’’ the local senior citizens’ group secretary, Rose York, said.

Her group is holding a fundraiser for Kate Diprose on Saturday July 4 and they have many good quality second-hand goods donated so far, as well as baking, jams, pickles and plants. They are still looking for donations.

Everything will be on sale at the Senior Citizens Hall on Arawa St from 9am this Saturday.

All the funds will go towards the Diprose family’s costs while they support Kate as she fights off a relapse of leukaemia.

– The Matamata Chronicle will act as a drop off point for any non-perishable goods. Contact York on 888 8344 to organise when to drop off baking at the hall.
