Playcentre is hosting open day

Matamata Chronicle - - News - TERESA HATTAN

For James Sainsbury and his three children, Matamata Playcentre is a home away from home.

James only has positive things to say about his involvement with Matamata Playcentre, which is hosting an open day next week.

The Matamata father of three says the centre provides lots of fun activities for children while also getting parents on board.

James says his children, Leah, 3, and Pippa and Lev, both 2, can do things at playcentre they wouldn’t get to do at home. It also provides a fantastic opportunity for his children to socialise with other young people and adults.

He ‘‘absolutely’’ encourages other families to look into playcentre as a childcare option. ‘‘It’s good for the kids to get out of the house.’’

James says playcentre is also good for the parents. ‘‘There is plenty of support and you get other ideas about how to do things.’’

He says it’s also very accommodating to the needs of the child. Through the playcentre, training is available to parents which also provides new ideas and new ways of doing things.
