There were seven bur­glar­ies dur­ing this time­frame in the north-east part of town.

Oc­to­ber 5

Four ju­ve­niles were ap­pre­hended and in­ves­ti­ga­tions have linked them to four of the above bur­glar­ies. Prop­erty from some of the bur­glar­ies has been re­turned to the own­ers.

A Mow­bray Rd ad­dress was bur­gled.

Oc­to­ber 7 -10

A prop­erty in Wa­haroa was bur­gled.

Oc­to­ber 8

Amale was ar­rested for at­tempt­ing to steal a speaker from The Ware­house.

Oc­to­ber 10

A car parked on Pe­ria Rd was bro­ken into and money was stolen. A boat was stolen from Tawari St.

Oc­to­ber 12

Po­lice re­sponded to re­ports of youth with an air ri­fle in Wa­haroa. The firearm was lo­cated and the youth are be­ing dealt with by Youth Aid. A male stole a cash draw from New World. He was ar­rested in an­other town and is fac­ing charges for sim­i­lar in­ci­dents.

Oc­to­ber 15

A church on Ho­haia St had its win­dow bro­ken. Po­lice re­port there have been a num­ber of petrol drive offs re­cently.

Oc­to­ber 16

A Tower Rd prop­erty was bur­gled and a mo­tor­bike was taken.

Oc­to­ber 17

A Hutchin­son Rd prop­erty was bur­gled.

Oc­to­ber 18

A 10 and 11-year-old were dealt with for shoplift­ing at The Ware­house.
