Matamata Chronicle - - Conversations - Megan Jeffcoat/Sandy Henderson

As co-ordinators of the Breast Cancer Pink Ribbon Street Appeal for 2015, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the people of Matamata.

To the volunteers who manned the tables and collected donations and to the good people who donated and to Helen Riley for her wonderful busking and the teenagers who walked the CBD and the young men who dressed in pink and helped out – and especially to the many businesses that donated goods and services to the raffles – in fact to the whole of Matamata, what a generous and supportive town we live in.

We have not yet fully counted but it looks like we raised just over $4,500 to assist in the fight against breast cancer – well done to us all. The raffles drawn, prizes delivered and all winners very happy.
