There were two in­ci­dents of cell phones be­ing stolen from ve­hi­cles parked by the pub­lic toi­lets on Sed­don St in Wa­haroa. Two males walked into a bak­ery on Broad­way and loaded their arms up with pies be­fore walk­ing out.

A bi­cy­cle was stolen from be­hind Fez Kebabs. Cam­eras were stolen from a shop on Arawa St.

Oc­to­ber 21

Po­lice have re­cov­ered a yel­low trail bike which they be­lieve was stolen. They can’t iden­tify it so want the owner to come for­ward. Con­tact Con­sta­ble Hawke at the Mata­mata Po­lice Sta­tion on 888 7117.

A lady had a rock thrown through the win­dow of her York Pl house.

A fire crew at­tended a switch board fire in a cow­shed in Wa­haroa.

Oc­to­ber 23

A fire crew re­sponded to power lines arch­ing on Cad­man St in Wa­haroa.

Oc­to­ber 24

Po­lice, fire and am­bu­lance staff at­tended a fa­tal crash where a 21-year-old male from Puke­tutu died at the in­ter­sec­tion of Hutchin­son Rd and Mor­rinsville-Wal­ton Rd. Po­lice are ap­peal­ing for any wit­nesses to con­tact the Mata­mata po­lice.
