Auction for Tamzyn
‘‘You really don’t know how much you have changed our lives for now and the future. We are just so lucky to live in such a beautiful and generous community.’’
An auction to help build a bedroom for Tamzyn Twidle raised $20,000.
The October 29 event at Trac Sport Bar, which was organised by the Matamata Meat Company owner Owen Henderson and Bevan McKay from Matamata New World, has boosted the Twidle family’s funds to $45,000. The family has also moved to ASB Bank who have given them an extra $30,000. Tamzyn’s mum, Raegan Edwards, now thinks they have enough money to start planning the bedroom for their disabled daughter. The family also have more local businesses who have offered their services in designing and building the room.
Raegan said her family could not express their gratitude to everyone involved.
‘‘We really don’t know how to thank everyone involved enough,’’ she said.

‘‘We know it won’t cure Tamzyn, and we know we still have a rocky road ahead, but to be able to offer Tamzyn the best life she can possibly have is all thanks to all of you who have donated, and supported us through our journey.’’
