Decorate the workplace

Matamata Chronicle - - Out&about -

Matamata businesses are encouraged to go all out this Christmas. Alongside the Bayleys Christmas lights tour, Bayleys Matamata, Matamata Mitre 10 and the Matamata Chronicle are inviting local businesses to decorate their shop window or create a Christmas display.

And while businesses can choose to take part in a Christmas promotion with the Chronicle, it’s really about bringing the spirit of Christmas to Matamata, Chronicle editor Teresa Hattan said.

Businesses may choose to go down the traditional route with a Christmas tree and tinsel while others may get creative. You could perhaps theme your display to what your business does. Entries for the Bayleys Christmas lights tour open on December 2. Residents are encouraged to get their houses ready to take part in the tour now, Bayleys Matamata’s Margaret Troughton said. Entries can be collected and dropped off at the Bayleys office on Arawa St.

A range of lights are available from Matamata Mitre 10, including a wide selection of solar lights which are proving popular this year, Mitre 10’s Lynette Stanley said. The Chronicle’s promotion will run on December 9 and will call on the public to match Christmas displays with businesses taking part.

Both the public and the businesses could have a chance to win.
