Nigel Grondin (S), Cal­lan McGrath (2) and Sel­wyn Tap­pin (L); Mur­ray Hooper (S), Ron Hooper (2) and Gra­ham Allen (L) def. John Fol­lows (S), Mal Julius (2) and Neil Jackson (L). Round 2: This round was in­ter­rupted due to rain. Overnight rain had stopped and the day was sunny and windy for the con­tin­u­a­tion of the Triples. Round 2: Sefton Be­govich def. ‘‘Rob­bie’’ Burns, Win­ston Hill def. Mur­ray Hooper, John Fol­lows def. Nigel Grondin.Round 3: John Fol­lows def. Win­ston Hill, Rob­bie Burns def. John’s team scored four on the 14th end making them both level on 14 points. His team main­tained a lead, leav­ing Sefton re­quir­ing three on the 18th end. Wayne and Ewan held one point each and Sefton’s fi­nal bowl came in for the third shot.Con­grat­u­la­tions to Sefton, Ewan and Wayne on win­ning the Triples, and good luck in the Champ of Champs. same score, Tony Gil­lies, Ju­nior Rawiri and young Rob­son Tar­rant took the rest of the vouch­ers.All club cups were pre­sented end­ing an en­joy­able day. Womens 18 Hole LadiesTues­day 10 Novem­ber was a great day on the golf course for Bev Lamb win­ning both the scram­ble and Ro­tat­ing Part­ners with a great round of 41 sta­ble­ford points and 74 points re­spec­tively. Run­ners up in the Ro­tat­ing Part­ners by 1 point was Chris MacKen­zie and Daphne Lug­ton. Chris MacKen­zie was also run­ner up in the scram­ble with 37 pts fol­lowed by Elaine Reeve 36pts, Jane Wil­son 35pts, Shel­ley James and Nancy Payze with 34pts.Tues­day 17 Novem­ber was our Rus­sian Sta­ble­ford com­pe­ti­tion with Diane Cluitt our win­ner out front with 77pts. Tina Berg and Agnes Kim Run­ners up with 71 pts. In the scram­ble Pam Gil­lies was our top per­former with 40pts. Pam was closely fol­lowed by Agnes Kim 39pts, Dianne O’Reilly 38 pts, Ar­lene Joe and Mea­gan Schick both on 37 pts, Mary Brady, Tina Berg and Diane Rom­ley all on 36pts. Chris MacKen­zie had a two on the 11th. 9 hole Ladies10 Novem­ber was our Milly/Molly/Mandy com­pe­ti­tion. Marie Ker­not was our win­ner, Bev Pa­ton 2nd and So­nia Scott and Joan Locke shared 3rd place.Joan Lock also fea­tured the fol­low­ing week win­ning our putting com­pe­ti­tion. Bar­bara Bar­nett won the scram­ble with 20pts and run­ners up were Joyce Stocker, Marie Ker­not and Meg Downs all on 18 points.
