Be­tween Novem­ber 14-26

Mata­mata po­lice are seek­ing sight­ings and in­for­ma­tion about some­thing strange.

‘‘If any­one saw any­thing strange, like some­one leav­ing from an ad­dress push­ing a mower at speed, ad­vise the Mata­mata po­lice,’’ Mata­mata sergeant Craig Thorne said. The in­for­ma­tion re­lates to a bur­glary of an open garage on Western Rd that occurred some time be­tween Novem­ber 14 and Novem­ber 26. A lawn­mower and ear­muffs were taken.

Be­tween Novem­ber 20-24

Mata­mata po­lice are also seek­ing in­for­ma­tion re­gard­ing a 2010 black Mer­cury nine horse­power out­board mo­tor which was stolen off a boat on Wai­hou St. If any mem­bers of the pub­lic have seen this, or have been of­fered this to buy, con­tact the Mata­mata po­lice.

Novem­ber 24

A ru­ral property on Paratu Rd was tar­geted in a bur­glary. Mata­mata po­lice en­cour­age peo­ple to be vig­i­lant and re­port any sus­pi­cious be­hav­iour or ve­hi­cles. ‘‘Please at­tempt to note down the ve­hi­cle’s num­ber­plate, but don’t put your­self at risk by do­ing so,’’ Thorne said.

Novem­ber 26

A valu­able White Scott moun­tain bike was stolen from the Mata­mata Aero­drome, near the as­para­gus field. The bike is dis­tinc­tive with road bike tyres on it. If any­one has any in­for­ma­tion about this then phone the Mata­mata po­lice.
