Matamata Chronicle - - Your Paper, Your Place -

The last paper of the year. And boy, what a year it’s been.

I’ve felt privileged to be part of the Matamata community in 2015.

We have all seen some great highs and some great lows.

The year started off with one of our own being awarded an ONZM. We will soon see if anyone else will be recognised with similar honours over the holiday period. The year then quickly progressed and I found myself attending a large number of school events, club events and sports matches to name but a few.

It is a real thrill to be at the pulse of such a thriving community. I take such joy and happiness from your successes and commiserate with you in your times of trouble.

The Matamata Chronicle will be taking a short break before returning to your letterbox on January 13.

Make sure you keep us in the loop with what 2016 will bring for you. We can’t wait to continue to tell your stories.

Please stay safe and we’ll see you in the New Year.
