Excellence recognised with award
Beaurepaires Matamata have received the very first Goodyear excellence award, a national award recognising the efforts of Peter and Janice Howland.
The owner/operators’ 30 plus years of experience and knowledge was celebrated with the couple being presented with the new award last week.
The award was to be presented at the Goodyear Dunlop national conference in Tahiti last month, but Peter and Janice were unable to attend due to Janice’s leg being in plaster.
As the couple couldn’t be at the conference, Goodyear Dunlop national sales manager Chris Wheeler and regional account manager Mark Findlay made the trip to Matamata last week to present the pair with the award.
Chris said recognition the of award was
excellence and achievement with the Goodyear brand over a number of years.
‘‘We have over 90 dealers around the country the award could’ve been given to so it’s pretty prestigious and is certainly quite a big deal for Janice and Peter.
‘‘We wanted to recognise the amount of work they’ve put into our products, services and brand over a number of years. Their 30 plus years of experience and knowledge should be celebrated by us and the public,’’ Chris said.
Janice said she and Peter were thrilled and honoured to receive the award, especially as it was the first of its kind to be awarded by Goodyear Dunlop. ‘‘It’s nice to be recognised.’’ It was also recognition of the couple’s loyal customers.
‘‘We pride ourselves on having the best product for the customer,’’ Janice said.
The award will now take pride of place in the workshop for customers and staff alike to see.
