Matamata Chronicle - - Your Paper, Your Place -

There isn’t really a way to beat around the bush with this, my last ‘‘letter’’ as editor of the Matamata Chronicle. I’m moving on to a new challenge in communications at Waikato District Council this week. So it with much sadness that I bid farewell to you, the fantastic Matamata community.

This town is really something special and will always hold a special place in my heart. What makes it so special is the fantastic people who live here.

Every person I have had the privilege of meeting over the past year and a half has had an impact on my life. I have made great friends and have had the opportunity to tell amazing stories. For this I thank you all.

Now, I promise I won’t be a stranger. I’ll be back to get married in just a few short months.

In exciting news, replacing me is the wonderful Petrice Tarrant. She has been the editor of South Waikato News for the past two years and I’m sure you will welcome her with open arms, just like you did for me.
