Some­time be­tween Jan­uary 11 and 17

A gar­den shed at a Ta­hawai Cr prop­erty was bro­ken into.

Overnight on Jan­uary 11-12

Two prop­er­ties on Dame Cath Pl were bro­ken into. A garage and a gar­den shed were bur­gled.

Jan­uary 13

A garage on Brown St was bro­ken into dur­ing the day­time.

A Mow­bray St, Wa­haroa, prop­erty was bur­gled.

Overnight Jan­uary 15-16

Elec­tri­cal items were taken while an oc­cu­pant slept in their Matai St prop­erty.

Jan­uary 17

Po­lice are seek­ing sight­ings of a red Honda CRF250 mo­tor­bike which was

stolen off the back of a ute. The bike is cov­ered in stick­ers. Con­tact the Mata­mata po­lice if you see it.

Mata­mata sergeant Craig Thorne said there is a theme of sheds and garages be­ing bro­ken into.

He ad­vised res­i­dents to make sure these are se­cure, as it isn’t just houses that are tar­geted by bur­glars.

He also ad­vised that if an oc­cu­pant of a house found a bur­glar in ac­tion to not con­front them, but keep to them­selves safe and ring 111.
