En­vi­ron­ment grants now avail­able

Canon New Zealand has opened its 2016 En­vi­ron­men­tal Grants program and is call­ing for com­mu­nity groups, not for profit or­gan­i­sa­tions and schools who are pas­sion­ate about the en­vi­ron­ment to get in­volved and ap­ply now.

Canon is of­fer­ing three grants of $5000 worth of Canon equip­ment, rang­ing from dig­i­tal compact and DSLR cam­eras, to binoc­u­lars, print­ers and mul­ti­func­tion de­vices, to those who are un­der­tak­ing en­vi­ron­men­tal projects or ini­tia­tives.

Win­ners are se­lected based on the pos­i­tive im­pact their pro­ject is hav­ing on the en­vi­ron­ment as well as how the Canon prod­ucts can help them to drive greater suc­cess.

The win­ners are sought across three cat­e­gories: Re­gional, Ed­u­ca­tion and Com­mu­nity.

Last year’s win­ners were the Coro­man­del Film Col­lec­tive, Kaipatiki Pro­ject and the Fiord­land Con­ser­va­tion Trust.

Ap­pli­ca­tions are open from Sun­day 5th June un­til 31st Au­gust 2016 with the win­ners an­nounced on the 12th Septem­ber 2016.
