Helping to find their life pathway

Matamata Chronicle - - Your Paper, Your Place - REXINE HAWES

Matamata College is helping students find their pathways to a bright future.

The college is hosting a Careers Pathway evening tomorrow night and is an opportunity for students, or anyone considering study, to speak to spokespeople from a variety of tertiary providers.

The aim is to inform students about what pre requisite requirements are in the courses they want to take and align themselves with the right subjects at college.

It is also hugely beneficial for students yet to determine a course of study, adults considering returning to study, or seeking a tertiary education for the first time.

Matamata College careers advisor Sue Hancock says last year’s pathway evening was well attended and students made good use of the information. She says it’s also great for parents to come along and make sure they and their child are on the same page.

Careers Pathway is held tomorrow night at the Matamata College hall, 5.30-7.30pm anyone with questions can ring the college careers department on 881 9018.
