Low interest for Twlight Fare

Matamata Chronicle - - Your Paper, Your Place -

A low number of confirmed stall holders for the Matamata Twilight Fair is causing concern and disappointment for the event organiser.

Organiser Laura Manning says 18 stall holders have so far been confirmed for the November event, less than half the amount booked this time last year.

‘‘We had 30 people booked this time last year, if not more.’’

Manning says among those confirmed are food stalls, Nutrimetics, Tupperware, 3G Bikes NZ and Australia and Arbonne.

Manning says the event will still go ahead regardless. She would like at least 60 stall holders.

Last year people were still booking sites up until the day before the event, so with plenty of time remaining until November, Manning is optimistic more people will come on board.

Right now Manning is seeking anyone wanting to run a sausage sizzle as a fundraiser and there can be more than one group fundraising.

She is also wanting to book in a live band or musician, however they will need to supply their own sound equipment.

The Twilight Fare is on Sunday, November 27, 1pm-6pm. Anyone interested in booking a stall can contact Manning on 027 206 5173.
