Reward for helping others
Groups doing good for people or the environment in the Eastern Waikato can apply now to be part of Z Energy’s 2017 Good in the Hood.
Applications are now open and the 32 groups selected will all get a piece of the $4000 each local Z station will be giving away in May.
Since 2012 more than $4 million has gone to community groups and projects doing amazing work to make neighbourhoods thrive.
The eight Z stations in the Eastern Waikato are looking for groups helping to address a need in the local neighbourhood.
To ensure the needs of local people and the environment are addressed, Z’s teams at stations in the area will choose which groups they’ll support.
Customers will determine what percentage of funding goes to each group by voting with an orange token when shoping at Z this May.
All Z stations will have an additional $1,000 of Good in the Hood funding to give away in the neighbourhood this year. Groups also benefit from increased exposure and a chance to interact with their community at the local Z. Groups can enter online at z.co.nz/goodinthehood. Applications close on 28.
Eastern Waikato Z stations include Huntly, Matamata, Morrinsville, Ngaruawahia, Ngatea, Paeroa, Whangamata and Whitianga.
