More than 120 members of The Warehouse, Plunket and other supporters have hit the road to pedal across New Zealand as part of Pedal for Plunket.

Their trip includes a 20 minute stop at the Matamata Warehouse this Thursday at 11.30am.

To welcome the peddlers and support Plunket, The Warehouse Matamata is holding a fundraiser at the entrance to the store which includes a bake stall, barbecue and face painting as well as plenty of small treats for the children.

Pedal for Plunket is a major fundraiser for Plunket nationwide. This is the second time the event has taken place and it raised over $200,000 in 2016.

The cycle tour runs from The Cape to Bluff throughout the month of March.

Matamata Warehouse Pedal for Plunket co-ordinator Delma Isabeth says The Warehouse is proud to be part of an initiative supporting Plunket and is thrilled the peddlers have included the Matamata store in their route across the country.

‘‘It’s a really great cause and we hope the whole community will get behind it by coming down, meeting the peddlers and buying some baking and a sausage.’’
