Brenda shines as the star of the golf course

Golf­ing week 18 – 21 March, scram­ble.

Brenda Hull scored im­pres­sively with 43 sta­ble­fords.

She also won the Robert Har­ris voucher.

Best of the oth­ers: Michelle Lid­dle 36, Gil­lian Hazel­hurst 36, Pam Gil­lies 34.

The scor­ing was just as hot on Tues­day.

Bar­bara Hodgkin­son and Gil­lian Hazel­hurst also both scor­ing 43 sta­ble­fords.

San­dra Pem­ber­ton 42, and Di Rom­ley with 41 were the next best.

Brenda Hull was Golfer of the Week on count­back from Bar­bara and Jil­lian.

Dianne O’Reilly was the O’Del’Emz voucher win­ner. Ar­lene Joe and Gil­lian Hazel­hurst both had a two on the 6th hole.

Match­play win­ners to advance this week were : Diann Voyce, Agnes Kim, Bev Lamb and Ruth Tay­lor.

Our 9-hole Ladies played the third round of their Sum­mer Cup. Joint win­ners were: Nancy Payze and Mar­lene Sal­is­bury.

Ann Cloth­ier was the stable­ford win­ner with 23, closely fol­lowed by So­nia Scott and Nancy Payze both with 22.

Sun­day 19 was the sec­ond round of Cham­pi­onship Pen­nants. With play­ers un­avail­able the teams re­quired a reshuf­fle.

Di­vi­sion 1 played Hamil­ton 1, and Di­vi­sion 2 played Ngaru­awahia.

De­spite feel­ing they com­peted well, both teams suf­fered losses with one squared match in Di­vi­sion 2 be­ing the best of the scores.
