Hin­uera played away at Piron­gia.

Hin­uera be­gan the game at pace with Todd Allen, Ja­son Brady and Levi Henare fea­tur­ing, the lat­ter de­nied a try by a high bouncing ball in Piron­gia’s dead ball area. The Gold and Blacks were not to be de­nied for long, Bradley Leuthard ini­ti­ated the move from his own 22 which passed through six pairs of hands be­fore he took the last pass to score, Benji Ole­sen converting, 7-0, Hin­uera. Matt Ring, re­turn­ing from in­jury, sent his backs away at ev­ery op­por­tu­nity, Allen be­ing the next to score, 12-0, Hin­uera. Piron­gia scored there only points with a penalty right on half time. Hin­uera’s poor dis­ci­pline con­tin­ued from pre­vi­ous weeks with tries ruled out be­cause of bad choices, es­pe­cially in the tackle area. Player of the Day, Allen scored again, while Hadliegh May scored the bonus point try when burst­ing on to a pass from a long way out. Fi­nal score 24-3, Hin­uera. Devel­op­ment team remains, 29-18.
