New lease on art life in Mata­mata

through TLC (the Learn­ing Con­nex­ion, Welling­ton).

The op­por­tu­nity to do this by dis­tance learn­ing was ben­e­fi­cial and I found my ap­pointed tu­tor gave very help­ful feed­back and de­tailed in­for­ma­tion. Def­i­nitely a worth­while ex­pe­ri­ence.

I also had tu­tor­ing by my late hus­band Mar­tyn Pearce, an ac­com­plished artist and mu­si­cian.

I moved to Mata­mata from Whangarei to­wards the end of last year.

I was a mem­ber of CAN (Craft and Art North­land) and North­land So­ci­ety of Arts and I am now a mem­ber of Art on Main gallery and Artist’s Co-Op in Ti­rau. Hav­ing learnt foun­da­tional tech­niques, I am­ex­per­i­ment­ing to find my style in my art­work.

The West­pac dis­play dur­ing July fea­tures a va­ri­ety of sub­jects with some cheer­ful colours to brighten the dreary win­ter weather.
